Healing Themes: Self Love, Creativity, Passion
This is the time to turn our attention to ourselves; what we need and want most. While all relationships we have are important to re-evaluate and need effort, the one that we have with ourselves is often neglected. February is the perfect time to focus on self-love. Exploring healthy sexuality and what that uniquely means for us. Rediscovering what gives us passion in this life. We can take this time to enhance our creativity. Just do whatever feels good.

Rose Quartz
This is the ultimate heart healing stone! Rose quartz is a gentle yet powerful healing stone that invokes more self love, compassion, acceptance, and forgiveness (of self and others). It is a great stone to work with during times of grief or heartbreak.
Not only is it healing for the heart chakra, but also for our higher heart chakra, which is connected with our thymus gland. Our thymus gland has an important role in our immune system and good immune function.
Rose quartz teaches us the true essence of love, through purifying and opening the heart, bringing us into deep healing and self love. It can help bring up emotions in the heart that need to be healed and released, and can also assist with the transmutation of those emotions.
Rose quartz helps to restore harmony and balance in all relationships, and open one up to become more receptive to love. This stone is helpful for people that are constantly giving but never receiving.

Hisbiscus
Hibiscus plants have large flowers that come in many colours, but the vibrant red flower is most well recognized. While it’s origin is unknown, there is a long history of these flowers being picked in China, India, and the Pacific Islands.
In Hindu traditions the hibiscus flower symbolizes the goddess Kali. Kali is the embodiment of feminine power. She is everything from chaos and primal to nurturing and benevolent. The flower itself only blooms for one day on the vine reminding us that each moment is sacred.
Hibiscus is high in Vitamin C and antioxidants. With these benefits hibiscus can promote hair growth, help balance hormones, remove free radicals from the body, and help with immune function. It may also help keep the body cool, lower blood pressure, boost liver help, promote healthy body weight loss, and relieve acne.
Hibiscus works on the sacral and heart chakra as it has an affinity for love and passion. Having it around can bring more beauty, love, and passion into life. Using it can encourage intimate love of all kinds including discovering passion in life. It is known as an aphrodisiac and is often featured in love spells. An excellent herb for creative visualization and even prophetic dreams. Helps to harness our creative abilities and put us in alignment with what we really desire and are passionate about. Teaches us to go with the flow and find harmony in what we do.
How to Use Hibiscus:
Most commonly hibiscus is steeped in tea. Drinking it creates a comforting and nurturing energy. It pairs well with many other herbs and brightens the tea with its lovely pink red colour. Hibiscus flowers can also be burned as incense to increase passion in a room, or smoked in a herbal smoking blend. Sleep with it under the pillow to improve chances of prophetic dreams occurring.

Rose Essential Oil
Roses have been connected with Goddess for hundreds of years. In ancient Greece, they were associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love, sensuality, and pleasure. Rose has also been associated with Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene. It has been distilled for hundreds of years around the world.
Legend has it, rose oil was discovered by accident, in India, when rose petals were added to the canals around the Taj Mahal and the heat of the sun caused the oils to separate from the petals, creating a beautiful aroma. The oil was skimmed from the water and made into a perfume.
The constituents of Rose have been found to have anti viral, anti microbial, analgesic (pain support), anti bacterial, anti-oxidant, and anti aging properties. It is also healing for skin irritation and helps to hydrate dry skin when used topically.
Rose is a womb tonic and helps to regulate the menstrual cycle.
Emotionally, Rose can help mend a broken heart, heal grief, and bring more compassion into our life. It is loving and calming, yet also discerning and strong. Rose helps us open and awaken our hearts so we can receive love and tap into our sensuality. Spiritually, it is extremely high frequency so can dissolve any dense energies in or around us. It holds the codes of the divine feminine consciousness.
